About Bloom After Burning

Bloom After Burning is a home for poetry, reflection, and the words we sometimes carry for years before we're ready to give them somewhere to land.

I write as Mystery Ravenscroft, a pen name I've chosen for the work collected here.

Some of these words are new. Others were written decades ago and are only now finding their way back into the light. Together, they trace love, grief, faith, longing, becoming, and the strange ways a life changes us.

This is also an act of preservation ~ a place to gather the words I've left scattered across a lifetime and leave them somewhere they can outlive me. Not only for the people I love, but for anyone who might one day find something of themselves here.

I don't write because I have answers.
I write because sometimes putting words around an experience makes it a little easier to understand.

Bloom After Burning is where I'm gathering those words ~ past and present ~ and letting them become whatever they're meant to become.
